The best of both worlds. That’s how Ted White sees it. An accomplished business attorney, Ted combines his extensive knowledge of the commercial and investment markets to help clients buy and sell companies, make strategic investments, arrange financing, and operate profitably.

A leader and strategic partner, Ted helps clients discern opportunities and make connections that add value to their businesses. He focuses on key issues such as matching legal structures with business goals, negotiating and drafting complex agreements, and resolving the complexities of extraordinary business dealings and long-term strategies. Ted regularly handles complex debt and equity financings, as well as planning and implementing mergers and acquisitions—from small deals to those involving hundreds of millions of dollars.

Ted has specific experience with private capital funds and takes a leadership role in fund formation, offering document preparation, resolution of tax and securities issues, and handling fund portfolio financings and acquisitions for domestic and international deals.

Ted also provides legal representation to real estate clients involved in projects including domestic and international commercial and industrial real estate ventures; major retail shopping centers and office building projects; real estate investment trusts (REITs); multi-family residential and commercial properties; residential and commercial developments; landlord and tenant lease negotiations; master lease arrangements; and real estate-based municipal financings.

As an accomplished arbitrator, Ted has resolved commercial claims ranging from loans, securities fraud, and television distribution rights to communications issues, M&A disputes, and professional sports contracts. As an entrepreneur, he founded the Estabrook Absolute Return Fund, one of the first absolute return fund-of-funds, and the Marbury Group, a boutique investment firm.

An avid outdoorsman since childhood, Ted enjoys spending time with his wife and children fly fishing, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing near their rustic mountain cabin.
